Praying for Lisa Smith

I find myself drawn to my keyboard today. This week my sweet friend, Lisa, was diagnosed with sarcoma of the breast. This is not breast cancer, rather sarcoma that is found in her breast. She will have an emergency mastectomy as chemo and radiation do not work on this form of cancer. I talked with her this morning. She is strong...all I could do was cry.

I find myself wishing...wishing I would have found the time to meet with her over early, early morning tea as we always do when I am home for the holidays. I was busy. Too busy.

If you don't know Lisa, please spend time reading her blog found at http://lifeoflisasmith.blogspot.com She is an amazing woman who so loves the Lord. You can also join others in a prayer wall for her. The link for this is: http://www.colossians314.blogspot.com/

Many times I will look at Lisa's posts and see that it is 2:00 in the morning as she posts. She simply sits at the feet of our Jesus, longing for time with him. I too am longing to have a Mary heart in a Martha world, the peace that Lisa finds daily amidst four young children and a family business.

Please join me as Lisa just begins this fight with cancer.
